Darius gives a long speech to his inner circle about how much he values their loyalty – and as a show of thanks, they clap him in chains, run him through with a spear and leave him to die on the side of the road.

Okay – so Alexander has conquered the “left nut” of Persia and the Great King is dead – this means his men can go home now, right? RIGHT??!
