Well all good things must come to an end, and that includes wiping out barbarian armies. After eight years of endless campaigning in deserts and monsoons, fighting elephants and barbarian hordes, suffering from starvation and frostbite, poison arrows, drunken fights, and giant snakes, Alexander’s men finally have enough and tell him it’s time to go home.
